Detection of intestinal parasites by different methods in type 2 diabetic patients

Aim: Long term persistently high blood glucose levels result in various complications and conditions diabetic patients. One of them is gastrointestinal disorders the other increased risk infectious diseases like parasitosis. The aim study to demonstrate intestinal parasites with techniques patients confirm frequency parasites.Methods: A total 65 type 2 Diabetes Mellitus were included study. Laboratory tests done symptoms recorded. Fecal specimens evaluated direct microscopy, Kinyoun acid-fast staining method, trichrome method antigen screening test.Results: Of 31 male 34 female. While 53.8% had no chronic diabetes, 33.8% multiple complications. Thirty (46.2%) complaints. Examination stool samples revealed G. intestinalis two (3.07%), C. parvum three (4.6%), + E. histolytica six (9.2%) by RAT. No association was found between existence parasite determined RAT any patient characteristics age, sex, duration dyspeptic complaints (p-values are 0.27; 0.14; 0.90; 0.68, respectively).Conclusion: This first explore prevalence rate parasitosis detected diabetes. In this study, we also compared different detection methods population showed that a more sensitive method.
